Do I need a Komga or Kavita server to use Komic?

Yes, Komic is designed specifically as a client for Komga and Kavita servers. You’ll need to have one of those servers set up and running with your comics before you can use Komic.

Can I try Komic before unlocking all features?

Absolutely! The free version of Komic provides core functionality to connect to your Komga or Kavita server and read your comics. You can use it as long as you want before deciding to upgrade.

Yes, it’s available as a paid feature. You can download comics for offline reading and the progress will sync with your server when you reconnect. The free version requires an active connection to your Komga or Kavita server.

EPUB is supported on Kavita, but progress sync is chapter-level (not exact position within a chapter).

Does Komic support different reading directions?

Yes, Komic supports multiple reading directions, including left-to-right, right-to-left, vertical and webtoon.

With Komic+, it can sync your reading progress with your Komga or Kavita server, ensuring consistent progress across all your devices. For downloaded comics, progress is stored locally and synced when you reconnect to the server.

I’m having trouble connecting to my server, what should I do?

Make sure your server is running and accessible. Check that you’ve entered the correct URL and credentials or API key. If using a local network, ensure your device is on the same network as your server. For remote access, make sure your server is properly configured for external connections.

All payments are processed through the App Store. You can use any payment method connected to your Apple ID, including credit cards, debit cards, and Apple account balance.

What’s the difference between lifetime and subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. You’ll continue to have access to all features until the end of your billing period.

Will I lose my offline comics if I cancel my subscription?
