Sync & Multi-Device

Komic has two different sync systems:

  • Server sync keeps your reading progress aligned with your Komga or Kavita server.
  • iCloud settings sync keeps selected app preferences aligned across your Apple devices.

Server sync uses your Komga or Kavita server.

Reading Progress: Current page, completed status

SettingsReaderSync section:

  • Sync Read Progress
  • Sync Downloaded Books

Both default to enabled with Komic+.

  • Syncs automatically in background while you read
  • Multi-server: Each server syncs independently
  • Offline-safe: Saves locally, syncs when reconnected

iCloud settings sync uses your Apple account to sync only the preferences you choose.

SettingsiCloud Sync

  2. Choose exactly which settings should sync

You can choose individual settings from sections like:

  • EPUB: EPUB preferences, presets, progress text, header display, footer display, and Live Text options
  • Library & Appearance: layout, thumbnail size, home sections, filters, cover badge, app icon, and sorting
  • Controls: zoom settings, volume buttons, and Pencil page turns
  • Downloads: Wi-Fi only, delete when read, and simultaneous downloads
  • Servers
  • Credentials
  • If the same setting changes on multiple devices, the latest change wins
  • iCloud sync only affects options you explicitly selected in SettingsiCloud Sync
